What We Did
We built a smarter forecasting model that put the site’s own data to work. By connecting production plans from Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP), live electricity meter readings, and local weather forecasts from an Application Programming Interface (API), we created one clean, reliable dataset.
From there, we trained a machine learning model to learn the site’s unique patterns, everything from full production runs to planned shutdowns. Now, the process runs automatically: data updates daily, forecasts are published straight to SharePoint, and the team can check everything in one place without lifting a finger.
